What is the scientific name of PPR pipes?

The formal name for PPR pipes is polypropylene random copolymer pipes, which is currently the most widely used pipping in the engineering home outfit. PPR is known as the third generation of polypropylene, completely composed of carbon and hydrogen elements, free of heavy metal ions and without any toxic gas produced while being burned.

Why are the PPR pipes colored differently?

Different colors of PPRs use the same binder, which are added with different color masters according to customers' favorites or habits, so the colors do not represent the quality.

How do I choose pipes according to the pressure?

In the printed code on pipes, PN indicates nominal pressure, with the unit Mpa. Pipes with different nominal pressures have the different wall thicknesses, thus the nominal pressure of pipes should be not less than the pressure of running water.

What are the features of the connection technology for PPR pipes?

PPR pipes are connected using the thermal bonding method, allowing the pipes and fittings be melted together. In German DIN standards, the hot melt strength must double that of the pipe body. As long as construction is done properly, and after which a pressure test is run, it has an extremely high reliability.

How is the pressure test performed?

The pipe is filled with water to thoroughly remove any air inside pipe. Then, a booster pump is used to boost it to the test pressure, with pressure being added to the test pressure at 10 minute intervals, being repeated twice. Next, the pressure is recorded respectively 10 minutes and 40 minutes after the last boosting, and the difference between them should not be greater than 0.06MPa. Two hours after that, the pressure drop should not exceed 0.02MPa.

How can one judge the quality of PPR pipes?

First, look; second, touch; third, weigh by hand; and fourth, smell. Firstly, look for: a frosted surface, smooth inner wall, bright inserts, and compact structure. Secondly, touch: the internal and external threads are smooth, with words "made in Germany." Third, weigh it in your hand: PPR pipes are heavy. Fourth, smell: AQUA-SCIE PP-R pipes are made from the patented Borealis PP-R particles developed on our own, thus it will not produce any foreign smell when melted.

How to distinguish the true pipeline of AQUA-SCIE?

Methods for discerning the authenticity of AQUA-SCIE products: 1. Visual check: the pipes are packed with UV-protective black packaging, each of them having an origin country mark "Made in Germany." 2. Smell: AQUA-SCIE products all use the environmentally-friendly material Borealis, which will not produce any foreign smell when burned. 3. Ask: scan the anti-forgery QR Codes on the pipes with a smart phone. 4. Cut: the copper content of AQUA-SCIE products is 88%, and the common DN25 inner screw elbow has seven circles of inner screws and includes a gasket with a copper weight of 50.1g. The copper content of a fake pipe is 65%, having five circles of inner screws and no gasket provided, with a copper weight of only 47.1g.

Is there any problem when connecting AQUA-SCIE pipes with other brands of pipes?

Different brands of products use different materials, and the reliability cannot be ensured when connecting them together, so it is not recommended.
